Solid do-it-all jacket.

I have been riding with this jacket for about 8 months and 3000 miles in cold, hot, wet, and dry conditions. It is excellent in cold weather and is quite waterproof. It vents decently for the price. I am 6'4" and 215lbs and the XL fit was spot on. My only complaint is the back foam pad is rather thin and the waterproof liner, when you remove the thermal liner, sits directly on your skin, (Think plastic bag on your arms), so when it is hot, expect to sweat generously. A long sleeve under armor heat gear shirt would probably solve this issue. I have had no signs of wear or durability issues. I purchased the pants to match as well. Paired with a set of Tourmaster Solution boots. It is a great all around jacket if you can only afford one, however I will be purchasing a mesh jacket for the 85 degree plus days in NC.

Great fit/function

Had this jacket for about a month and about 10 rides. Love it except for two minor things; the sleeve fastener (velcro strap) and no collar button/snap/strap (just open). Would like to see a short neck warmer built into the top of the liner. T hat aside, it is a great jacket; the liner and the separate waterproof layer is a good design (either or both may be utilized). the exterior jacket fabric is much softer than typical textile jackets, but the abrasion resistance at the sleeve and shoulder areas is much greater than average. Armor sungs down well with elastic/snap pulls in two places on the sleeves. Some extra padding stitched into the back is a little stiff and you can feel it through the jacket. Fit is true to sizing (L perfect for 6' 195lbs athletic shape). Nothing binding or flapping. Longish 'tail' extends well in the back. Venting is great with large vertical zippers at the front and in back. Pockets and zippers good. Zipper functions well. Look is good, although only two colors to choose from, either light or dark. I chose the black which has a few reflective accents not entirely evident in photos.

Good value

I ordered this for my step-son and he really likes it. Since it's freezing here in Buffalo, NY (Christmas gift) he will just have to wait for warmer days to really confirm what I have known. I've been using Fieldsheer jackets for years and have enjoyed the quality and protection when I needed it the most.

Awesome!!!

After looking online for hours I made my choice and bought this jacket. Awesome all around good jacket. Very warm with the liner in, plenty of vents. Very comfortable, but buy a size up as they run small. For the $$$ this is the best. Buy it!!

Nice Jacket for the money

I really like this jacket, but it didnt have any padding in the chest area. This jacket is also true to size, if you wear a large in t-shirts, you would get a large.
